Inpatient vs. Outpatient

Although outpatient visits for rehabilitation works for many situations, inpatient care may be more effective because it offers a very structured and defined atmosphere 24 hours a day. An inpatient setting reduces the distractions of life — allowing you to focus on physical and psychological healing with help every step of the way.

A specific inpatient program will be customized for you after discussions with your physician and an extensive evaluation by our multidisciplinary care team. It will be based on your particular diagnoses, interest, personality and goals.

Within a safe, secure and structured environment, you will receive intensive therapy up to six therapy sessions a week. Rehabilitation nursing and access to a physician is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

With inpatient rehabilitation, you will have a team of professionals working with you for three hours throughout the day — versus an outpatient setting where only one therapist may see you 2-3 times a week.
